Historical monuments
Passage
This historic building with a shopping gallery and hotel was built in 1898. Now on the first floors there are souvenir shops, shops and cafes, on the others - a hotel of the same name.
The arcade is a shopping mall, but it looks like an old museum. Be sure to take a look. The courtyard of the Passage is cozy and quiet, where you can hide from the heat in summer and from the cold wind in winter.
A house with one wall
The Wall House or Flat House is the former profitable house of Rafalovich, which attracts tourists with its unique architectural feature.
When looking at it from a certain angle, a complete illusion is created that the building has only one wall - the facade. The best perspective on this optical effect opens from the intersection of Vorontsovsky Lane and Primorsky Boulevard.
Catacomb
There are a lot of legends about the Odesa catacombs, so it will be interesting not only to see, but also to listen. Be sure to immerse yourself in the excursion. This is safer and much more interesting.
Odesa catacombs are 2,500 km of underground tunnels, partially interconnected in the form of a large-scale labyrinth. Amazing passages were created during the extraction of limestone for the construction of old Odesa.

Colonnade of the Vorontsov Palace
The colonnade of the Vorontsov Palace stands in a wonderful place - near Primorsky Boulevard. This structure is often called the "Portal of a lonely girl" and is considered a symbol of eternal love and swan loyalty.
In the complex of the Vorontsov Palace in Odessa, a special place is occupied by the colonnade (also called the rotunda or the belvedere). The building was built according to the project of the architect Francesco Carlo Boffo. It includes 10 columns placed in two rows on a high stepped plinth.
Mother-in-law of cities
In this way, the official shortened the way to his mother-in-law's house, where he visited for his favorite pancakes. They also say that the bridge is long and sways slightly from the wind "like a mother-in-law's tongue."
There are several stories that explain why the Mother-in-Law Bridge was built in Odesa. According to legend, it was built in the 60s of the last century above the ravine by the order of an important regional committee figure, Mykhailo Sinytsia.
Iconic places
Deribasivska
The street got its name (originally Italian: La strata Ribas) in honor of José de Ribas from the location of his house on this street, in which his brother, Felix de Ribas, later lived.
Deribasivska - it is with this word that the name of the city of Odesa is associated, and this street is probably the most popular not only in Odesa, but also in Ukraine as a whole. Deribasivska Street is one of the main attractions of the city of Odesa, its main business card and symbol.
City garden
There are also several monuments in the garden: a monument erected in honor of the well-known and loved by millions of readers of the book "Twelve Chairs" by Odessa writers Ilf and Petrov "The Twelfth Chair", a monument to the legendary Leonid Utyosov, who was born in Odessa in 1895.
The first park of Odesa, built at the beginning of the 19th century, immediately after the founding of the city, is located near Deribasivska. In 2006, after the restoration, singing fountains appeared here, as well as a restored covered stage, where concerts of symphony orchestras are held in the warm period of the year.
Potemkin Stairs
Life is always in full swing at Potemkinskyi. In the summer, the steps are transformed into bleachers for watching concerts and holiday fireworks, and for watching movies under the open sky.
Among the most famous sights of Odesa are the 19th century Potemkin Stairs. They have 192 steps and are among the ten most beautiful in all of Europe. Every year, a marathon is held here to climb to the top. Do you know what the record time is? 22 seconds!
Seafront
This is a popular place. In the evening, not only tourists like to stroll here, but also native Odessans.
The stairs lead to Primorsky Boulevard, which offers a gorgeous view of the harbor and giant cruise liners and beautiful yachts visiting the city.
Greek Park
Visitors can enjoy the coolness in the shade, sitting on numerous benches, and admire the vegetation that is rare for Odessa.
In the very heart of Odesa there is a place where you can touch and feel the spirit of ancient Hellas - this is the Greek Park. Opened in 2018 after a long reconstruction of the dilapidated "Moon Park" on the slopes of Primorsky Boulevard, Gretskyi Park was able to delight Odessa residents and guests of the city with its beauty.
Istanbul Park
The fountain in the form of a grotto and a beautiful cobbled alley also look Instagrammable. Here you can relax on a bench or directly on the lawn (in summer). Kids will definitely like it here. The park has a free playground with good swings and slides.

Shevchenko Park
A huge Ferris wheel is installed here, from which you can see Odesa as the birds see it.
Shevchenko Park with shady alleys, benches and an amusement park is located not far from the Lanzheron beach.
Museums and galleries

Archaeological Museum
It was founded back in 1825 on the basis of the private collection of the Odesa official I. P. Blamberg, which this person gave to his native city.
Located near the most famous street of the city - Primorsky Boulevard, and popular hotels of Odesa. The Archaeological Museum is currently the oldest museum of its kind in Ukraine and the CIS.
Naval Museum

Visitors to the facility have the opportunity to see marine life from the inside. There is a captain's cabin, a sailor's cabin and much more. Particular attention is paid to the history of whaling.

The Odesa Naval Museum was opened in 1920. The main part of the exposition is located in the old building, erected in 1842 by the then famous architect Torricelli. Initially, the building housed the English Club.

Museum of Western and Eastern Art
The Museum of Western and Eastern Art has at its disposal a stunning collection of paintings by the world's most famous artists.
One of the best and most famous museums of Ukraine. He earned this status thanks to several facts. First, the institution is located in the palace of the merchant Abaza, designed in 1856–1858 by the architect Otto.
Cultural life
Odessa Opera House
Go to one of the productions and immerse yourself in this unusual atmosphere. If you want to take a picture in the interior of the opera without tourists in the background, come in advance.
The 19th century Odesa Opera House is one of the most beautiful theaters in Europe. Its building is designed in the Viennese Baroque style, and the auditorium is designed in the late French Rococo style. The horseshoe-shaped hall has unique acoustics, it is incredible, but whispers can be clearly heard in any corner of the hall.
Academic Theater of Musical Comedy
Here you can see everything: from classics to rock opera, various types of musicals.
The Academic Theater of Musical Comedy is an operetta theater in Odesa, also known as Mykhailo Vodyanyi Theater.
Restaurants
Bernardazzi
The mansion was built in the Venetian Gothic style. The interior of the restaurant fully corresponds to the luxurious interior. Visitors especially liked the restaurant's cozy courtyard.
Native Odesans say that there is no more atmospheric place than the Bernardazzi restaurant. Located in a building built in 1899 in the city center and an architectural monument, it impresses with its beauty and grandeur.
